Article on Whyteboard in Dec 2010 Linux Journal

An article has been published in Issue 200, December 2010 of the Linux Journal magazine, in the "new projects" section. Praise was given for its simple UI, PDF annotating abilities, the history replay view and being able to embed multimedia into a sheet.

  1. Hi! I just found this project looking for a quick and practical way to keep notes at seminars and such. Whyteboard fits that description perfectly and works really well! It's practical, has many functions, looks good and doesn't use a truckload of dependencies. :)
    Thanks for making it!

I wonder, are you still working on new versions?

Also, it took me a while to find this program. Perhaps you should try to post it on different app archives or similar so more people can find it. Such as http://linuxappfinder.com/ or http://www.icewalkers.com/. http://www.getdeb.net/ would probably work good as well.

  2. Thanks for you comment!
Good idea on listing the site on those directories, I shall get around to it. I noticed from google searching 'whyteboard' that many software download sites were mirroring the files I would post to launchpad, sourceforge and google code and never thought of submitting any myself.

I haven't actually programmed on the project in a long time - I struggle to find the time to sit down to work on it, especially since I started programming for a living. I've got a bunch of new features lined up to implement and a few bugs to fix but just never get around to it.
